Things to do in Bavaro

Bavaro is the densest hotel strip in the Punta Cana tourist zone, not the cape itself and not Cap Cana, which sits further south. Expect wide, coconut-palm-lined beaches and a heavy concentration of all-inclusive resorts within a 15-40 minute drive of Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), depending on which hotel you land at.

The Puntacana Resort's Indigenous Eyes ecological reserve, a cluster of freshwater lagoons, is a short trip from most Bavaro properties.

There is no historic site or standout on-site attraction here: Bavaro works best as a base for beach days and as the starting point for excursions booked through GetYourGuide or Viator rather than a destination with its own sightseeing.
