Uvero Alto sits at the northern edge of the Punta Cana resort belt, and the transfer shows it: 40-60 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), against 15-40 minutes for most hotels in Bavaro and Cap Cana. That extra distance matters when you plan day trips.
Isla Saona already means 1h15-1h45 to Bayahibe before boarding a boat, and Santo Domingo's colonial zone is 2h30-3h from Punta Cana in general, so both run longer from an Uvero Alto hotel. What stays here is a quieter, less built-up stretch of coast, with all-inclusives spaced further apart than in Bavaro.
